Steve Brumfield

As CVL’s vice president of accounting and controller, Steve Brumfield leads the organization’s accounting and financial reporting functions, strengthening the financial infrastructure that supports CVL’s growth and mission. He oversees accounting operations, financial reporting, technical accounting, internal controls, audit coordination, and compliance activities, partnering closely across the organization to advance scalable finance processes aligned with CVL’s physician-led model.

Steve brings over 30 years of healthcare financial leadership experience spanning Big Four audit, publicly traded hospital organizations, and private equity-backed healthcare platforms. Before joining CVL, he served as controller at DispatchHealth and held senior finance leadership roles at SpecialtyCare, Newport Healthcare, Capella Healthcare, Province Healthcare, and Netcare Health Systems. Across these organizations, he has led enterprise accounting teams, supported complex integrations and M&A activity, overseen SEC reporting and SOX implementation, and guided organizations through periods of rapid growth and transformation.

A certified public accountant, Steve earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Austin Peay State University. He is recognized for building disciplined, high-performing accounting organizations and establishing strong financial controls that enable operational readiness and long-term scalability. His experience helps ensure CVL’s partner practices can remain focused on clinical excellence while benefiting from a strong, reliable financial foundation.
