Ben Griffith, JD

Ben Griffith, JD, serves as chief legal officer at CVL, where he oversees all legal, regulatory and transactional matters for the company and its growing network of affiliate practices. He works at the intersection of healthcare law and physician practice management, bringing both outside counsel and in-house operating experience to CVL’s continued growth.

Griffith brings deep healthcare transactional experience, most recently serving as president of The Specialty Alliance (formerly GI Alliance), the nation’s largest gastroenterology and urology MSO. He previously served as the company’s chief legal officer from 2022 to 2025, guiding it through its recapitalization with Apollo Hybrid Value and its $3.9 billion sale to Cardinal Health. Earlier in his career, he closed some of the largest deals in the country in the physician practice management space as outside counsel.

He holds a Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Saint Louis University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from Washington University in St. Louis. Griffith is licensed to practice law in Illinois and Missouri and has been recognized by Best Lawyers and Super Lawyers for his work in healthcare and M&A law.
